Fibre internet for Quinte West and the Bay

Built in Quinte West.
Priced for here.

Real fibre to the home, run by people who live on the same roads as you. Three honest plans, no contracts that read like mortgages, and a phone that gets answered by someone whose kids skate at the Trenton Memorial.

Neighbours

Why your neighbours pick BOQ

We didn't ask a marketing agency for these. We asked the people on the route. Names changed where they wanted, towns are real.

We had Bell for 14 years. The day fibre came down our road I was the second house signed up. The install crew were both from Trenton. One of them coached my son in U11. The internet's faster and the conversation was better.

I run a small bookkeeping business out of my home in Belleville. My old ISP went down for nine hours mid-tax-season. I phoned BOQ on a Tuesday and was on fibre the following Monday. They knew where my street was. That mattered to me.

We have a vineyard outside Picton. The big telcos kept telling us "coming soon" for six years. BOQ ran fibre to the property in three weeks. Brad walked the route with me before the trench went in. That's how it should work.

How it works

How fibre lands in your home

No mystery. No "your engineer will be in touch between 8 and 5." Three steps, real timelines, a name and a phone number at every stage.

You check your address

Drop your postcode in. We tell you straight away if fibre is at your door, on your road, or on the build map. No "we'll get back to you" runaround.

Takes 15 seconds

A local crew runs the line

Our installers live in Quinte West, Belleville, or Northumberland. They know your road. Most homes are connected in under three hours, with a tidy job at the wall and a clear walk-through of your router.

2 to 3 weeks from sign-up

You get a real human number

Every BOQ customer gets a direct dial to local support. No call queue from another time zone. If the line drops at 11pm on a Tuesday, somebody who lives an hour away picks up.

For as long as you're with us
Compare

BOQ vs the big telcos, side by side

We're not knocking the incumbents. They built the country's first networks and that matters. But the deal you get from a hometown ISP is genuinely different. Here's the honest comparison.

Questions

Honest answers to the common ones

We get the same dozen questions a week. Here they are, answered the way we'd answer them at the counter at Reid's.

Is BOQ actually local, or is this a rebrand of a national ISP?
We are local. The company is registered in Quinte West. The founder, Brad, lives here, raised his kids here, and runs the network from here. We use a wholesale fibre backbone (the same kind every smaller ISP does) but we own the customer relationship, the install, and the support phone. The person who answers your call lives within 40 minutes of your kitchen.
What if fibre isn't on my street yet?
Drop your address in the checker anyway. If you're in our 12-month build map we'll tell you the rough month it gets to your road. If you're outside that, we'll add you to the priority list, which is what we use to decide where the next trench goes. The list isn't theatre. We actually use it.
How long is the contract?
Month-to-month. Always. If we're not earning your stay every 30 days, you should be free to walk. There is no early-cancellation fee. There is no 24-month "loyalty" trap that gets more expensive the longer you stay.
Can you beat my Bell or Rogers price?
Sometimes. Sometimes not. We don't play the "first-six-months teaser" game. The price you see is the price next year. If you're locked into a contract right now, we'll cover your first month so the switch isn't a tax on doing the right thing for yourself.
What about cottages, farms, and rural properties?
Half our installs are rural. We've connected farms outside Stirling, cottages on the Bay, vineyards in Prince Edward County, and shops on backroads near Marmora and Tweed. If a hydro pole reaches you, fibre usually can too. Tell us where you are and we'll be honest about what's possible and what's two years away.
Who do I talk to if something goes wrong?
You call our local number. A real person answers, often Brad himself for technical escalations. If the issue is on the line we'll have a crew rolling within hours, not days. If it's in your house we'll talk you through it on the phone before sending anyone, because nobody wants a truck-roll fee for a power-cycle.
Do you do business internet?
Yes. The Lakefront 3 Gig plan covers most small businesses, and we offer business SLAs, static IPs, and dedicated support contacts for shops, clinics, farms, and trades operations across Hastings and Northumberland. Talk to us about exactly what you need, we'll size it honestly.
In every plan

What you get on day one, no upsell

We bundle the things that ought to be standard. No "router rental fee." No "activation fee." No "premium support tier." Just fibre, set up properly.

Wi-Fi 6 router included

A current-generation router, set up by our crew, tuned for your house. Yours to keep while you're a customer. We don't charge $15 a month to rent you a piece of plastic.

Free standard install

If we have fibre to your road, the install is on us. No "$199 setup," no "service technician truck-roll fee." A neighbour drives over, runs the line tidy, sets you up.

Real human support

Phone, email, or text. Local number, local accent. After-hours goes to a real on-call rotation. No queue music, no robot menu trees.

Unlimited data, every plan

No caps. No "fair use" throttling. No surcharges for the month your kids discover Twitch. Stream what you want, work how you want.

Symmetric speeds

Up and down match. Upload a video, send a backup, run a Zoom call from a farm office. Most cable plans cripple upload to make download look bigger. Ours don't.

30-day no-stress trial

If we don't earn the spot in your house in the first month, we'll uninstall, refund the month, and shake your hand on the way out. We'd rather you tell us than tell your neighbours.

Switching

Already with Bell, Rogers, or Cogeco?

Switching feels like more hassle than it is. We've moved hundreds of customers off the big telcos this year. Here's how it actually goes.

We book your install for a date that suits you. Could be next week, could be three weeks out, your call.

1
You pick the date
Same day or evening slots available

Our crew gets you on BOQ. We test it on the spot. Old service runs in parallel until you're ready to cancel.

2
No-overlap install
You're never offline

You cancel the old one. We cover your first month with us if a contract overlap costs you a fee. Receipts only, of course.

3
We pay your overlap
Up to one month, on receipt
Local cred

Where you'll see us this year

We don't sponsor things to look good in a press release. We sponsor things because our kids play on them, and because the rinks and field-houses keep the towns we love alive.

Trenton Minor Hockey

Jersey sponsor, U9 to U13 divisions, four years running.

Quinte West Food Bank

Free fibre on the building, plus a yearly hardware drive.

Belleville Ag Fair

Booth every year. Brad usually flips burgers Saturday afternoon.

Brighton Rotary

Triathlon water station, every August. Ask the runners, we hand out the orange slices.

Ready to switch to fibre that knows your road?
