The story

From Quinte West, for everywhere Bell forgot.

I grew up on Hwy 33, between Trenton and Bath. I joined the Air Force at 18 and spent the next 22 years running communications for the Royal Canadian Air Force. Radio, line-of-sight microwave, satellite, and eventually fibre. I learned how networks fail and how to bring them back at 3am with whatever was in the truck.

I left the military in 2019 and started PT Corp the same year. Quinte West, Ontario. Two trucks, three guys, one OTDR. The plan was simple: run fibre clean, finish what we started, answer the phone. Six years later we have built single mode fibre for every carrier that matters in Canada. Bell. Rogers. Telus. Cogeco. Execulink. Tbaytel. Eastlink. The seven names that own the wires from Cape Breton to Vancouver Island.

Every one of those carriers comes to PT Corp because they cannot get their own crews to do the job we do. We finish builds Bell has had on the books for two and three years. We light routes Rogers gave up on. We unstick the EORN-funded rural permits the urban-led carriers will not chase. We have done this from Quinte West the whole time, with crews who live here, eat here, and answer the phone here.

So I asked the obvious question. If we are already running the fibre that ends up on Bell's bills, why does the customer in Brighton or Belleville or Cobourg pay Bell prices for service Bell will not deliver on time? Why are they locked into 24-month bundles for TV they do not watch? Why does the price double in month 13? Why does the support call route to a script reader in another time zone when it is my crews who built the route?

That is BOQ. Same fibre. Same crews. Same town. Without the incumbent baggage. The operator runs this one, not the salesman. When the network goes down at 11pm, the founder picks up. Because I built it.

How PT Corp x BOQ works

Why fibre, why now, why you?

Bell, Rogers and Cogeco are running 2008 playbooks on 2026 hardware. The wires are great. The customer experience is not. I have been building those wires since 2019. Someone with the install skills, the local roots, and the operator instinct should run a small ISP on top of them. That is me.

What if my build is delayed?

Hydro One paperwork is real and unavoidable. We tell you the realistic window before you sign, with a real reason and a real range. If timelines shift, you hear from us first. Not via a missed install date six months later. We have built fibre for seven carriers and we know which routes move and which routes stall.

How can the price be locked forever?

Because we do not have a retention department to feed. The whole "introductory rate that doubles in month 13" pattern only exists to fund retention agents who negotiate it back down when you threaten to leave. We do not give people a reason to call one. The number on the page is the number on the bill. Forever.

Who actually installs my service?

Phone rings at my house. Or my on-call lead's house. Diagnostics start in minutes. If a truck roll is needed, PT Corp dispatches by morning. We do not run a Tuesday-morning callback model. I am not building this company to put a queue between me and the customer.

Are you going to scale and ruin this?

Honest answer: no. The whole point is to stay close to the work. PT Corp has grown by word of mouth since 2019 and that is the only growth model BOQ will use. If we get bigger, the model still has the founder picking up the phone, the same crews installing, and the same locked price. If those three break, the company has stopped being BOQ.
